Buffalo Narrows Resident Dies In Prison

Officials at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre say the prisoner who died there this week was from northern Saskatchewan.

27-year-old Fabian Petit of Buffalo Narrows was discovered dead at around 2:00 Monday morning.

Provincial Department of Corrections spokesman Bill Derby says an investigation is underway.

Petit made headlines this past May when he escaped custody and disappeared into the bush near Buffalo Narrows.

He was later located with the help of a plane.
