Police in Saskatoon say they have extended the search for evidence of a missing woman in the landfill.

Last month, police began a landfill search for evidence of the disappearance of McKenzie Trottier.

Trottier disappeared in December 2020, and investigators believed a specific area of the landfill could contain evidence of her disappearance.

While police say significant progress has been made, the search, which was scheduled to end this weekend, is not yet complete.

Police say the search will be extended for an “undetermined” length of time.
