The man who was wanted after an alleged violent sexual assault on Montreal Lake Cree Nation earlier this week has been arrested.

RCMP say the public provided information on the whereabouts of Isiah Roberts who was arrested Thursday at a home in Montreal Lake.

He is set to appear in provincial court in Prince Albert on Friday.

A man from Montreal Lake Cree Nation is on the run from the RCMP after an alleged sexually violent assault earlier this week.

RCMP allege 22-year-old Isiah Roberts assaulted a women at a home in the community over a period of several hours on Monday.

The woman was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as serious.

Roberts is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault, and several other charges.

RCMP say they attempted to arrest Roberts at the home, but he fled and officers have not yet been able to locate him.

Roberts may be in the Prince Albert or Montreal Lake area, but this has not been confirmed.
