The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported 80 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Friday.
The far northeast reported the highest number of active cases with 61 followed by northeast region which reported seven. The far northwest reported two active cases while the north central zone had no active cases.
NITHA said three people are currently in hospital while the number of recoveries is sitting at 3,188.
The Athabasca Health Authority in the far north central region reported 10 active COVID-19 cases Monday. Since their last report they have had no new positive cases. The health authority also reported one new recovery.
Of Athabasca communities, Black Lake reported the most active cases with eight, two people from the community are currently in hospital. Fond-du-Lac reported two active cases with two people in hospital.
Athabasca Health Authority as well provided an update on vaccinations. As of Monday, 540 people had taken their first doses, while 443 have gotten both doses of the vaccine. The overall numbers include the communities of Black Lake, Fond-du-Lac, Stony Rapids and Uranium City/ Camsell Portage.
