The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported 211 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities Friday.

The far northeast region reported the highest number of active cases with 79. The northeast zone had the second highest number of cases with 52 followed by the far northwest at 33. The north central region reported 10 active cases.

According to NITHA four people are currently in hospital while the number of recoveries is now sitting at 2,675.

In the far north central part of the province the Athabasca Health Authority reported 53 active cases Friday. The health authority said since their last report they have had 13 more people test positive for the virus. Two people have recovered since the last report.

Black Lake, which recently just entered into a lock down, reported 43 active cases of COVID-19 and three people from the community in hospital. While Fond-du-Lac reported 10 active cases with two people in hospital.
