The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority is warning of possible COVID-19 exposure at funeral events on the Cumberland House Cree Nation last month.
NIHTA says individuals infected with the virus attended a wake in the community Oct. 24-25 and funeral on Oct. 26.
It is advised anyone who attended these events immediately self-isolate and contact the Health Line 811 or local public health unit for further direction.
Symptoms may develop anywhere from two to 14 days following exposure.
These symptoms may include new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, fever and feelings of fatigue.
