The community of Stanley Mission is confirming six positive cases of COVID-19.
The information, in a public service announcement from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, was posted on Facebook Friday afternoon.
Stanley Mission has been on lockdown since Wednesday afternoon as a precautionary measure.
The La Ronge band is recommending anyone who believes they may have come into contact with someone infected with the virus to immediately self-isolate and contact the Healthline 811 for assessment.
A number of communities in the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation are also on lockdown due to a recent rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.
