It’s been an exciting summer for Lac La Ronge Indian Band member Rylee Bell.
Bell made Saskatchewan’s U15 female volleyball team that took part in a tournament in Vancouver.
Bell is currently 14 and is heading into Grade 10 in the fall, she says it was fantastic to be part of a provincial team.
“It was a great learning experience,” said Bell. “I got lots of new drills – and working with different coaches and then just playing with new teammates.”
Bell says in the future, she would like to play volleyball at the post-secondary level.
“I just got to keep playing, keep being positive,” said Bell. “I have to also work off the court, which I work with Travis Hegland at the JRMCC.”
Bell’s brother is Alex Bell. Alex plays goalie and is property of the La Ronge Ice Wolves in the SJHL.
