Fond du Lac.

After nearly 19 hours missing, a Fond du Lac teen was found safe by RCMP members on Monday afternoon.

Logan Powder was at the detachment as of 3 p.m., according to staff who confirmed community reports that the search was called off.

More than a dozen Canadian Rangers and Fond du Lac residents had been searching for a teen boy who was last seen walking on the far reserve of the northern community at 8 p.m. on Sunday night.

Urgent announcements were quickly put out to bring the teen home. Residents and the band heeded the call by meeting at the band hall to form search crews, cooking food for searchers, offering to pay for gas for ATVs and vehicles, and searching all night.

After searching throughout the night, Canadian Ranger Sgt. Jackie Isadore is relieved by the outcome.

“Everybody came together as a community to help find this boy,” she said.

“Some of them stayed up all last night since they got a call, so they been up all night searching.”
