Former Prince Albert Indian Residential School students are being asked to dig out their old yearbooks.

Prince Albert Cree genealogist Blanche Cowley-Head is looking for them.

She says they can help lawyers settle Indian residential school survivors’ claims, noting some of the lawyers are asking her to track down yearbooks to provide proof of residence for their clients.

Cowley-Head is asking people who have those yearbooks to send them to her.

She promises to only photocopy them and then return them.

For now, Cowley-Head is just focusing on Prince Albert Indian Residential School students — but she says the search may widen to other schools in the future.

She can be contacted through her website www.bchresearch.ca.
