Around 10,000 people will visit the University of Saskatchewan this weekend to see Spectrum, a showcase of engineering projects.

High school students from Buffalo Narrows even made the trip, as part of the university’s outreach department’s push to get northern students possibly interested in careers in the sciences.

So far, it’s worked for Lyndon MacDonald, one of the students from Buffalo Narrows.

MacDonald is interested in pursuing engineering when he graduates this spring.

As a part of the outreach program, this is the first time a northern school has come to Spectrum, and the first time Buffalo Narrows has come to the U of S.
