Heritage Canada has announced $100,000 in funding for Regina’s Aman House — an organization that provides support for Aboriginal youth.

The money will go towards its Youth Aboriginal Cultural Awareness project.

It provides cultural awareness activities, access to information and trained staff that specialize in personal, cultural and emotional development.

Aman House, which was incorporated in 1995, provides community-based solutions to address situations faced by Aboriginal youth — including the effects of chronic patterns of abuse and addictions.
