A group of high-schoolers from Wollaston Lake got the latest tips in tree-planting yesterday.
For the better part of the day, the teenagers were planting young trees in he woods directly north of Prince Albert.
Mike Newman is a program coordinator with the Canadian Forest Service, the group putting on the exercise.
He says the whole point of the day was to give the kids a sense of what it’s like to make your living in the forest.
He adds the tree-planting exercise is also being offered in Sturgeon Lake, Stanley Mission, Beardy’s/Okemasis and Pelican Narrows.
