Trial Set For Pelican Narrows Murder Suspect

A Pelican Narrows man will be tried in his home community for the murder of a fellow resident.

 

On March 23rd, a judge and jury will assemble in the northern community to hear evidence surrounding the events of August 9th.

 

It was then that 40-year-old Alvin Barry Morin was killed at a house on the reserve.

 

A woman was also injured in the altercation.

 

Police arrested 37-year-old John Andrew Sewap shortly afterwards.

 

He stands charged of second-degree murder.
