A youth from Montreal Lake charged in a triple homicide earlier this year will appear again in court next week.

The teenager just turned 18 years of age, but can’t be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act because his alleged crimes took place while he was 17.

He is charged with the killings of two male band members and one female band member.

Back on the morning of March 2nd, shots broke out on the Montreal Lake reserve.

RCMP officers discovered the bodies of Greg Naytowhow, Kerry Naytowhow and Farro Bird in three separate locations.

At the time, RCMP said the crimes did not appear to be drug-related.

The youth will be in court next Tuesday.

He faces two counts of first-degree murder and one of second-degree murder.
