Tasering Of Aboriginal Girl Angers MP

An NDP MP is blasting police in Ontario for reportedly tasering a 14-year-old First Nations girl.

Charlie Angus says the incident happened in northwestern Ontario when the girl began peeling paint in her prison cell.

He says the teen suffers from mental illness and never should have been subjected to the electronic device.

Angus says the incident is tied to the federal government’s underfunding of social services for First Nations children.
