A spokeswoman for SaskTel says there’s not much to report right now in the situation of the northern radio telephone service.

Michelle Englot says meetings over the issue were to have taken place this month, but it looks like it will have to wait for now.

Last year, the government announced it wanted to phase out the service in favour of other alternatives.

The province also said it wanted a decision made in July.

Englot says that will have to wait.

In the meantime, the bush radio service will continue on indefinitely.
