Standing Wins Another Term At Wahpeton

It appears Gary Standing has once again been elected chief of the Wahpeton Dakota First Nation.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but reports indicate he managed to hang onto his seat during last Friday’s vote.

Joining him on council are Byron Parenteau, Cy Standing, Beverly Wahdeetika and Clayton Wahdeetika.

Again, those results are unofficial.
