Spiritwood Teacher Faces Charges

Spiritwood RCMP have charged a 37-year-old female teacher at a Shell Lake school with three sex-related charges in relation to a 15-year-old male student.

Michelle Marie Francoeur is facing one count of Sexual Touching, one count of Sexual Exploitation and one count of Sexual Assault.

She has been released on an undertaking pending her first court appearance January 27th in court in Spiritwood.

Police say Francoeur and the student had an inappropriate sexual relationship between September 1st, 2008 and November 30th, 2008.
