The RCMP and local volunteers are scouring an area near Hall Lake for a missing teenager.

Ground searchers, a police dog and a plane are all being used in the effort to find 18-year-old Francis Wayne Lafaver.

Lafaver was last seen Friday night at a party at a gravel pit west of Hall Lake on Highway 165.

The Mounties say he was walking away from the gravel pit towards La Ronge.

RCMP spokesman Sgt. Brad Kaeding says the search has been underway since Lafaver was declared missing late Saturday night.

Lafaver is 5’11” tall, weighs 150 lbs., has brown hair and brown eyes and is believed to have been wearing a grey bunny hug and red T-shirt when he was last seen.

Anyone who has seen him or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact the La Ronge RCMP.

Organizers of the search are asking for more volunteers, especially searchers with ATVs.
