Juggling family and school is not easy. But a Red Pheasant First Nation resident did that so successfully that she won an award on Friday.

Naomi Wuttunee received the BTC Indian Health scholarship during a North West Regional College ceremony. It’s worth $500.

Wuttunee has three sons. She’s enrolled in the college’s continuing care program.

Wuttunee says she enrolled in that program because she wants to help the Elders who raised her.

The scholarship will help her handle the expenses she incurs by going to school.
