Rash Of Snowmobile Thefts In La Ronge

The RCMP says there has been a dramatic increase in the theft of snowmobiles in the La Ronge area over the last week.

The Mounties say, in some cases, it appears thieves have been successfully cutting through chains used to lock up sleds, and then attacking the ignitions of the snow machines.

The RCMP is warning area residents to ensure their snow machines are properly locked up.

Also, if anyone has information about these stolen machines, they are asked to call the La Ronge RCMP at 425-6730 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
