Prince Albert police say a suspicious blue van or sport utility vehicle (SUV) has been approaching children in the city.

Sergeant Bill Chow says two incidents recently occurred in the east flat region, involving two girls.

One incident occurred during a school day and the other happened at night.

In both cases, Chow says, two unknown suspects tried to coax the girls into their vehicle. When the girls refused the suspects drove off.

The suspects are between the ages of 30 and 40. Their gender has not been confirmed, Chow says.

Chow says anyone with information about who the people might have been are asked to contact police.

The vehicle is described as an older-model van or SUV with brown rust spots.
