Lac La Ronge Indian Band Chief Tammy Cook-Searson is the latest Saskatchewan leader to receive a visit from a group of teens with leadership potential.

The 19 students selected for the Lieutenant-Governor’s Leadership Forum are in La Ronge today for Day 9 of their 10-day excursion.

The group, which includes five northerners, has already rubbed shoulders and received pointers from CEOs, university presidents and the premier.

Lieutenant-Governor Gordon Barnhart says it’s all about giving the teens a good idea of what a leader looks like.

Ile-a-la-Crosse teen Jordyn Burnouf says while it has been a little unnerving to talk with such accomplished individuals, they’re advice has been helpful.

Another student taking part — Joseph Randhile, who’s originally from Fond du Lac — says he’s felt he’s had leadership potential for years.

Randhile says he hopes to one day take a run at federal politics.

The leadership forum wraps up tomorrow in Stanley Mission.
