Northern Band Grieving Suspected Freezing Death

Sources say the Aboriginal woman whose remains were found in the Choiceland area yesterday is a member of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

The body of 32-year-old Ella Arleen Brown was found at 11:30 yesterday morning, approximately one mile from her last known location.

Brown is reportedly the daughter of band councillor Irwin Hennie.

She was the subject of a missing person bulletin issued Wednesday by the Smeaton RCMP.

Brown was last seen alive early Tuesday morning in Choiceland.

She was wearing a pullover sweater and toque at the time, and the Mounties believe she may have been hitchhiking on Highway 55 in frigid temperatures.
