An RCMP spokesman says the force has no plans to change the way it deals with protests as a national day of action for First Nations approaches.

Sgt. Brad Kaeding says the Mounties in Saskatchewan will be adhering to previous developed policy on June 29th.

Despite tough talk from Canada’s Indian Affairs minister about “the rule of law”, Kaeding says the RCMP doesn’t plan to intervene if the protests remain peaceful.

According to Kaeding, the RCMP’s approach applies to information pickets and full-blown blockades.
