The University of Saskatchewan has launched a new website aimed at boosting knowledge of Indigenous peoples.

The Indigenous Studies Portal contains thousands of papers, documents and other historical data not readily found elsewhere.

Its coordinator, Deborah Lee, says the site is open to everyone who wants information on First Nations and Metis people.

Lee says the site is aimed at helping researchers find information they never could before.

The site is also open to outside submissions to its database.

It has well over 5,400 entries already.

Lee says the easiest way to find the site is to type “Indigenous Studies Portal” into a search engine.
