The federal government is committing $750,000 in economic stimulus funding for a large scale project in Buffalo Narrows.

A new “town centre” will soon be built in the northern village.

It will house the community’s professional and government offices, and create 10,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

The 30,000-sq.-ft. multi-purpose commercial building is also getting a $1-milion funding boost from the Clarence Campeau Development Fund, through its Large Scale Projects Program.

Ottawa says it is committing the funding because the project will create jobs in the construction sector in Buffalo Narrows.
