Murder Suspect Back In Court With New Lawyer

A youth accused of killing three people on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation appeared in court in Prince Albert today.

The 18-year-old, who cannot be identified, had a new lawyer beside him after he fired his old one six weeks ago.

The youth stands charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder for actions he allegedly committed on the reserve back in March.

A trial date still has to be set in the matter.

But the judge ordered a pre-trial hearing to take place on November 1st.
