Local Input Sought For Wollaston Road Project

A public meeting is taking place today in Wollaston Lake regarding a proposed road link to the community.
Stantech Consulting spokesman Peter Goode says his group has already talked to local elders about the project, which would see a road built from Highway 905 over to Wollaston Lake.
Goode notes two proposals currently being studied would see anywhere from 21 to 24 bridge and culvert crossings built to finish the road.
He says that type of work would impact the environment and that’s why they need to hear from local residents.
Goode also says this project is not to be confused with the proposed all-weather road network in the Far North.
