First Nations youth from the North are into a second round of talks in Prince Albert today with fellow band members from southern Saskatchewan.

This is Day 2 of the FSIN’s Youth Legislative Assembly — an event designed to allow First Nations leaders to dialogue with teenage band members.

Alex Peechaw is a member of the Thunderchild First Nation.

He says one of the burning issues he intends to bring up is the lack of jobs that exist right now for young people on-reserve.

Peechaw says the shortage of work will force him to leave his home reserve once he completes his high school education.

The FSIN’s youth assembly wraps up tomorrow.
