KCDC Hosts Christmas Concert Over Internet

The Keewatin Career Development Corporation is hosting a national online First Nations Christmas concert today.

Indian and Northern Affairs Canada’s First Nations School Net Program and KCDC have teamed up to broadcast the event, via video-conferencing, from KCDC’s La Ronge office.

INAC spokeswoman Barbara Caverhill says this is a interactive learning experience and the first of its kind in Canada.

Caverhill says the event can be viewed on the Internet at www.kcdc.ca/webstreaming/.

The concert got underway at 1:30 this afternoon.
