A federal commissioner has upheld a human rights complaint on the Onion Lake First Nation.

Roxanne Naistus complained of sexual harassment by Philip Lloyd Chief while the two worked at the band office.

The commissioner has determined Naistus was the victim of harassment in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Furthermore, the commissioner has ruled the band did not do enough to prevent the harassment from continuing.

Compensation has been ordered.
