Fuel Truck Mishaps Becoming Common On Highway 102

Another fuel truck has flipped on a highway north of La Ronge — near the area of a fuel spill that took place in December.

The RCMP say the Co-op propane truck tipped near the 35 kilometre mark on Highway 102.

The driver was able to escape without harm, and it appears that the truck is not leaking fuel.

At last word, the truck was on its side in a ditch — but traffic was still being allowed through.

This accident comes almost exactly two months after a fuel tanker overturned about 40 kms north of La Ronge, spilling 2,900 litres of fuel into the ditch.
