North Battleford is the scene of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations legislative assembly over the next two days, and there could be fireworks.

A number of students from the First Nations University of Canada are promising to make an appearance to talk about what they view as political interference by FSIN officials at their school.

They have scheduled a news conference.

FSIN vice chief Morley Watson has been in the spotlight for his handling of allegations against university officials in his role as chair of the university board.

Watson is scheduled to give his vice chief portfolio address today, but the First Nations University situation is not on the official agenda.
