A family from the Flying Dust First Nation got quite a scare last week when their two-year-old boy walked away from their residence unnoticed.

Meadow Lake RCMP were called shortly after 6:00 pm on Thursday after efforts to locate the toddler by family, friends, and neighbours all failed.

The family noted that the boy was last seen playing in the yard.

The provincial search and rescue coordinator was called by the RCMP, and soon after, the Meadow Lake Search and Rescue team and the Saskatchewan Environment Police Dog Services were deployed in the area.

Fortunately, the youngster was located unharmed at a couple of hours later.

No other details have been released.
