Dene Court Hits Snag

The search is on for a new Dene-speaking Justice of the Peace.

According to a spokesman for Saskatchewan Justice, the previously appointed judge resigned a few months ago.

Last December, the provincial government announced the formation of an Aboriginal court party that would tour northwestern Saskatchewan.

It was designed to follow in the footsteps of the Cree Court introduced a few years ago.
