Cline To Meet With Japanese About Uranium Exports

Industry and Resources Minister Eric Cline will be promoting Saskatchewan’s uranium industry in a trade mission this weekend in Asia.

Cline will eventually meet up with Prime Minister Paul Martin’s Team Canada mission to China, but before that, he will make a stop in Japan to talk uranium.

Japan happens to be Saskatchewan’s second-largest trading partner, behind the United States.

Japan recently announced an ambitious nuclear power program that the province feels will provide an excellent opportunity for Saskatchewan uranium producers to increase sales to that country.
