The provincial government is attempting to help Saskatchewan-based Aboriginal businesses on the Internet.

The Crown Investments Corporation has established an online service that provides business news and links to business resources.

Listings in the directory are available to all Saskatchewan-based First Nations and Metis businesses that wish to markets their products.

The government says CIC’s subsidiary Crown corporations are some of those potential purchasers – and that’s why information about each Crown and its purchasing requirements is listed on the web site, so Aboriginal businesses can contact them about opportunities.

First Nations and Metis Relations Minister Maynard Sonntag says the Crown corporations recognize that businesses owned by First Nations and Metis people are an important part of Saskatchewan’s company.

All services are being provided free of charge to Aboriginal businesses.
