Cameco Reports Strong Fourth Quarter

Cameco Corporation is reporting higher profits in the last three months of 2005 compared to the same period a year earlier.

The Saskatchewan uranium mining giant says its net earnings from October 1st to December 31st were $81 million.

That figure is more than double the $37 million earned in the fourth quarter in 2004.

The company credits rising prices for uranium for much of the increase, and is forecasting even better returns in 2006.
