Bruce Power Remains Quiet On Nuclear Site

We won’t know where Bruce Power wants to build a nuclear power plant until fall, according to executive vice-president Dwight Willett.

Willett says Bruce Power wants to wait until the public meetings on uranium development are over before they make that announcement.

Those meetings are currently underway.

When Bruce Power does make that announcement, the plant might well be located at or near a First Nations reserve, Willett says.

He added that Bruce Power would consult extensively with First Nations.

Willett spoke before about 20 people in the morning and about 60 people at a luncheon.
