A woman from the Onion Lake First Nation was honoured at today’s University of Saskatchewan convocation.

Daleen Bosse was awarded her education degree post-humously.

Bosse disappeared in May 2004. Her remains were found four years later, in August 2008.

Her mother, Pauline Muskego, says it’s an honour to have people still remember Daleen and want to recognize the hard work she put in at university.

Bosse was in her fourth year of study in the U of S’s Indian Teacher Education Program when she went missing.

Bosse’s eight-year-old daughter, Faith, accepted the degree along with Muskego.
