The Chief of the FSIN says he’s pleased with progress made at the Spring Legislative Assembly.

Alphonse Bird says he hopes the good debates and solidarity helps erase any controversy that’s erupted over the future of the First Nations University of Canada.

Meanwhile, Bird says he plans to run for another term as Chief of the FSIN. He made the decision after consulting with family and friends.

Bird adds he expects others will run against him for the position, but he wishes them well.
