Saskatchewan bands could see even more drilling requests from oil companies says a consultant from Alberta.

Jeffrey Standing of Rapahoe Energy says the Alberta Government’s decision to hike royalty rates means some companies are looking to leave the province.

He explains many are looking to Saskatchewan to drill and that means first nations should be prepared and do their research.

Standing says good companies will already have an aboriginal affairs policy in place.
