The client list for an Aboriginal employment and training agency in the Battlefords has skyrocketed.

When it opened last fall, The Battlefords Industrial Career Centre served only a couple of clients.

According to project manager Laurel Sapp, it now serves more than a hundred of them.

The centre helps students obtain jobs in the trades, like welding and carpentry.

Sapp says one of the biggest changes is that more and more women are coming into the centre.

The centre is operated by the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies.
