Suspect in Murder of Pelican Narrows Man in Court

A Prince Albert resident accused of killing a man originally from Pelican Narrows is expected to enter a plea today in provincial court.

John Buesnel was charged with second degree murder after 44-year-old Vincent Leland Ballantyne died in hospital as a result of head injuries.

It is alleged the 48-year-old Buesnel struck Ballantyne with a baseball bat during an altercation the night of August 22nd.

Ballantyne was living in Prince Albert at the time of the incident.
