Travelers using the new all-season Wollaston Road are being advised to expect security checkpoints at both ends of the roadway during daytime hours.
According to a community notice, security personnel will be stationed at barricades from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
This will be in place all October until next November 12th when they are planning a grand opening of the road.
Motorists are asked to stop and provide their names before being allowed to proceed at either end of the road.
The measures have been put in place to help ensure the safety of construction workers and the travelling public while work continues on the road.
Drivers are also reminded that work crews may occasionally stop traffic or block traffic. When this occurs, travelers are asked to remain stopped and wait until workers indicate it is safe to continue.
Officials are thanking residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation as work continues on the new road.
