Swift Current to Host National Curling Championship in 2027
Swift Current will host the 2027 Canadian Curling Club Championships, marking the first time the national event has been held in Saskatchewan, according to an announcement from Curling Canada.
The championship will take place Nov. 23 to 28, 2027, at the Swift Current Curling Club inside InnovationPlex.
Curling Canada CEO Nolan Thiessen said Swift Current has a strong history of hosting major curling events and noted the championship celebrates club curlers who are the foundation of the sport.
“This is fantastic news for Swift Current and for curling in our community,” said Swift Current Mayor Al Bridal. “We’re grateful for the tremendous honour to host this national championship event here in our city.”
CURLSASK Executive Director Steve Turner said the event represents the heart of community curling and that Swift Current’s strong volunteer base and experience hosting major competitions will help create a memorable experience for teams from across the country.
The Canadian Curling Club Championships feature the top women’s and men’s club teams from across Canada.
