An investigation into the discovery of what appeared to be bones in Regina has now concluded.
Police say the items found in the 1700 block of Elphinstone Street Wednesday morning were not bones, but what appears to be a calcified piece of metal.
The Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service launched an investigation after a work crew made the discovery.
After further examination, authorities determined the object was not human remains, bringing the investigation to a close
