Saskatoon Police are investigating an aggravated assault after a man was found injured in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood early Monday morning.
Police were called to the 300 block of Avenue M South at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 21 after receiving a report of an injured man who had been assaulted.
When officers arrived, they located a 41-year-old man suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. Police said the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to hospital by paramedics for further medical care.
A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident. However, police say he was later released pending further investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
